We had a great turnout of 23 and we saw some very good rounds (and some not so good!)
Results
The winner was Dave Hilliard who scored 38, beating Keith Fullick on countback. Well done Dave H who now has 107 on the Player of The Year scoreboard, and so has given us all a very early target!
Well done Keith too for holding his own in a very daunting 4-ball (the handicaps of the other 3 players totalled Keith’s own handicap!)
Peter and Mark Steward also scored well, both getting 37 points
The Nearest the Pin on the 5th was won by Dusty (he has now won this more than any other player, with 6) and the Nearest the Pin in Regulation on the 18th was won by Min Patel
Par 3 King was closely contested with Dave Hilliard beating Mark Stewart on countback with 11 points.
The team competition also went to countback with Woody, Dave H, Dusty and Richard with 90 points winning out over Gavin, Keith, Min & Trevor
The only 3-ball had the misfortune of drawing MY card out as their mystery player. As my total was 16, I was not much help!
Player of The Year
We now have 3 rounds and so I have produced the first leaderboad. It shows that Dave H is out on his own at the moment, but there is a lot of golf to be played yet!
Next Golf Day
Our next Golf Day will be on Friday 22nd June at Thorndon Park. As the numbers for this one are strictly limited to 24 I must offer places on a first come first served basis. So, if you want to come along please let me know asap
For those that have played Thorndon before, you will remember that it is our dearest Golf day and likely to be £80 – £90 (if we include drinks and the team comp)
Our first tee time we will be 11.15 but I will send out a reminder closer to the day.
