I hope you all enjoyed the golf day on Friday The weather was lovely and the course was in fair condition I thought
This is the first time we have played at Brentwood and I thought it was a really nice course. There are some tricky holes but only because we were unfamiliar with the layout. I am sure it will be easier next time we play there if we choose to include it next year
Results
The winner was Danny Lyons with an incredible 41 points, playing off a handicap of 9. This meant that he went round in 4 over par!
Danny will be cut 15% for his efforts
Runner up with 36 points was me! I will be cut 5%
Dave H came in 3rd with 35 points which is very impressive considering his recent injury
Pants, Keith and Darren also came in with over 30 points
Danny also won the Nearest the Pin in 2 on the 9th hole
Dave H won the Nearest the Pin on the 14th
The Par 3 King this time was Ivan with 11 points, beating me into second place with 10
The Team competition was appropriately won by the team of Daves! – Dave D, Dave C, Dave H and (Dave) Pants with 89 points
Player of The Year
Danny’s great round sees him join Howard at the top of the leader board on 107
The results also saw a few others move up the pecking order and there are now quite a few with a very good chance of winning this year
With arguably 2 of our “easier” courses still to come, it is wide open!
Our Next Golf Day
Our next Golf day is towards the end of the Summer Holidays on Friday 11th October at Stock Brook Manor.
I will email you all about 2 weeks before that date to get the numbers but for now make sure it is in your diaries
